Roxy Turner, Sulette Damons (2), Nicole Kemp and Kelly Madsen scored the goals.

Jeanette Makkie, the assistant coach said that The SA girls played well in a physically tough match and difficult conditions with the Nigerians relying on booming upfield hits for most of the game.

The SA U21 women have had four comfortable victories in succession and are unlikely to find any opposition likely to upset them, as Ghana and Egypt nearly did to the SA U21 men’s side.

Meanwhile, Kenya’s men and women have withdrawn but it is not clear why. The men’s match against Kenya Thursday night was cancelled.

The SA men will meet the winners of the Ghana-Egypt match which took place late Thursday night.
